Coach Courtney
Coaching Experience / Accomplishments and Accolades
With several years of dedicated coaching experience, I have honed my skills in developing both the technical abilities and mental resilience of my athletes. I began my coaching journey at MVP Volleyball Club in Frisco, where I spent nearly six months in 2021. Currently, I am enriching the talents of players at the Rockwall Heat Volleyball, where I have been coaching for approximately a year.
Playing Experience / Accomplishments and Awards
My passion for volleyball began at the age of 10 and has spanned middle school, high school, club, and college levels. Initially trained as a middle hitter, I transitioned to an outside hitter/all-around player during my high school and college years. I served as captain of both my high school and college teams, leading by example and earning numerous accolades. In high school, I was nominated for Best of Prep in Chattanooga, TN, and received All-Region and All-County awards. In college, I was named to the All-Conference team, led my team in serves and hitting, and became the first and only player from Hiwassee College to make the All-Region D1 Women’s Volleyball 1st Team. Additionally, I hold the college record for the most aces in a single game.
Coaching Goals
My overarching goal as a coach is to empower my players to overcome their fears and develop into confident leaders. I am committed to enhancing their attitudes both on and off the court, assisting them in setting and achieving clear, attainable goals. My mission extends beyond athletic performance; I strive to nurture their growth as individuals, equipping them with the skills and mindset necessary for success in all aspects of life.
